Project Description: In coordination with BAM’s Department of Education, Dr. Bishop was responsible for providing the following services and deliverables with the overall goal of supporting the further development of evaluation strategy at BAM:
- Consulted with BAM Program Analyst to obtain and ask questions about mission framework, current evaluation tools, and data
- Reviewed BAM Education evaluation strategy, including the mission framework, current evaluation tools, and data
- Prepared a report that details the following recommendations:
- How to refine the organization’s theory of change and desired programming impact, with particular attention to the short-term, intermediate, and long-term outcomes;
- How to clarify indicators for each program according to these outcomes;
- How to improve and reimagine existing evaluation tools using these indicators;
- How to work with Teaching Artists, students/participants, and program staff using this revised framework.
- Facilitated planning meetings with BAM Education staff to share and process the report’s recommendations
- Engage in ongoing check-in conference calls/virtual meetings with BAM staff as needed while curriculum development is underway with teaching artists
